Understanding is determined in what context, how, and by what components. Gadamer explains these influential components by emphasizing tradition and history and emphasizes the plurality of understanding by expressing the ontological characteristics of human understanding. From this perspective, subjectivist and non-pluralist approaches are denied. In this article, we aim to examine, based on the characteristics of the understanding process in Gadamer's hermeneutic approach, namely historicity, pluralism, eventfulness, practicality, and linguistics, its relationship and proportion with political totalitarianism and pluralism, and to assess the possibility of convergence or incompatibility of the foundations of philosophical hermeneutics with political pluralism as a pluralistic political approach and divergence or compatibility of philosophical hermeneutics with political totalitarianism as a non-pluralistic political approach. Although Gadamer cannot be considered a full-fledged political philosopher, it is possible to examine political systems and their epistemological foundations based on his hermeneutic approach and evaluate their relationship. مساله اصلی هرمنوتیک فلسفی، فهم است. اینکه فهم در چه بستری، چگونه و متاثر از چه مولفه‌هایی تعین پیدا می‌کند. گادامر با تاکید بر سنت و تاریخ، این مولفه‌های تاثیرگذار را تشریح نموده و با بیان ویژگی‌های هستی‌شناسانه فهم بشری بر کثرت‌مندی فهم، تاکید می‌کند. از این منظر رویکردهای سوبژکتیویستی و غیرکثرت‌گرا انکار می‌شوند. در این نوشتار برآنیم تا بر مبنای شاخصه‌های فرآیند فهم در رویکرد هرمنوتیکی گادامر یعنی تاریخمندی، کثرت‌مندی، واقعه‌مندی، کاربردمندی و زبانمندی، رابطه و نسبت آن را با تمامیت‌انگاری و کثرت‌انگاری سیاسی مورد بررسی قرار داده و هم‌گرایی یا عدم سازش مبانی هرمنوتیک فلسفی با کثرت‌انگاری سیاسی به عنوان یک رویکرد کثرت‌گرا و واگرایی یا سازش هرمنوتیک فلسفی با تمامیت‌انگاری سیاسی به عنوان یک رویکرد غیر‌کثرت‌گرا را امکان‌سنجی کنیم. اگرچه گادامر را نمی‌توان فیلسوف سیاسی تمام‌عیار دانست ولی می‌توان براساس رویکرد هرمنوتیکی وی، نسبت میان نظام‌های سیاسی و پایه‌های معرفتی آنها را بررسی و ارزیابی نمود. https://jpt.modares.ac.ir/article_23129_8c8c976f599f97663bd04d1cc4b15ed1.pdf
