In the literature on the Liar Paradox appearing in Persian-language journals, there are cases in which it is claimed that solutions to the paradox have been found, whether independently or within the Islamic tradition. In this paper, we will show that the proposed solutions to the modern Liar Paradox—which is derived using the diagonalization lemma in arithmetic—are ineffective. The modern formulation of the Liar Paradox challenges ordinary intuitions about truth and logic in a far more fundamental way. Consequently, it cannot be resolved simply by taking certain stances on the semantics of natural language, nor can it then be claimed that the proposed solution performs better than modern solutions.
